Energetic Intimacy: ISHA Teases Upcoming Album ‘Feel at home’
Sometimes an album title can be beautifully misleading. At first glance, ISHA’s forthcoming record Feel at home might suggest a quiet, slow-burning acoustic space—but instead, it sweeps the listener into a vibrant, high-tempo, and groove-heavy journey.
Currently holding space on Bandcamp with a generous six-track preview, the project is packed with relentless drum patterns, dynamic basslines, and bright funk/neo-soul inflections. Rather than representing a lazy, quiet afternoon, Feel at home represents the physical, infectious comfort that only great, movement-inducing rhythm can create.
Marking a profound evolution in her creative path, Feel at home sees ISHA stepping away from collaborative sessions and rigid production formulas. While her first two EPs were built systematically in the studio—layering drums, keys, and bass—this debut album is an entirely solo endeavor where she steps up to the microphone, using her own voice and embracing the role of a singer-songwriter for the first time.
Among this upbeat selection, our personal favorite has to be “Give me more.” The track serves as the beating, energetic heart of the release so far. Built around a mesmerizing, driving groove and upfront vocal delivery, it is the kind of track that commands immediate movement. While it shines digitally, its rich bass and punchy percussion beg to be spun on a heavy vinyl wax plate.
Six tracks from Feel at home are now available to stream and support directly on Bandcamp. Keep this project on your radar as we await the full album release.
